Setsubun

A personal illustration to celebrate Setsubun. In Japan, spring time is celebrated on every February 2nd or 3rd. The Japanese practice mame-maki: throwing bean or soybean seeds through the houses windows to chase away demons and scare away negative forces. Several celebrations feature Oni demons and their masks, in temples or in schools. The Okame woman mask is a lucky charm.
